I'm a 2001 LA baby, but I didn't start shooting until 2016. I liked it so much I moved to New York and graduated from Syracuse University 🍊 with a Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism.

I'm a 2001 LA baby, but I didn't start shooting until 2016. I liked it so much I moved to New York and graduated from Syracuse University 🍊 with a Bachelor's degree in Photojournalism.
When I moved back, it felt like a different Los Angeles I was coming back to. Neighbors painted their houses, restaurants were replaced, drivers got more aggressive and I didn't know where I fit in anymore.
My old friends had new friends, my favorite hang outs went out of business, the cars were going too fast and I felt like the only one stuck in place.
Life kept revolving around me. Without me.

I didn't shoot a lot this year. This was really about me shooting, editing and falling back in love with creating again.

It was the year I learned the ceramics wheel, how to roller skate, rollerblade, unicycle and enjoy my own company after a prolonged depression.

Los Angeles was met with a lot of mist, so I made a Silent Hill inspired Analog Horror/Lost Footage reel out of the footage I quickly shot to avoid paying the parking meter.
SNOW ON 15th STREET TOY DRIVE
James A. Garfield Elementary students in Long Beach received the donated toys for Christmas. I shot and edited this video that will be used to promote Eminent Collaborations in the fall.

We first met when we were 10. On their 22nd birthday, I had the privilege of taking their portraits.
I embarked on a solo roadtrip from Los Angeles, California to Whistler, Canada in 3 weeks. I edited this motion collage on Premiere after they were developed. This is not a template.

A large amount of my experience comes from my journalism background and documenting environments as I see them. I think it's valuable because there's merit in appreciating a moment before it's gone.
I also love shooting people whether it's out and about or in a studio since I love working with light. I think the best part though, is seeing the look on their faces when they see the final photos.

At the same time, I'm transitioning to focus on video, building a stronger portfolio there, because even though I love photo, there's just something about filmmaking I can't shake.
Graphic design is also a field I'd like to conquer further down the line, hopefully go to grad school for. I think that'd be fun. I admire people who draw and design so effortlessly, maybe it even makes me a bit jealous.
